    Madam Diana Konomanyi recognized by the APC-ECO for dedication and service to the APC party and nation

    Madam Finda Diana Konomanyi has been honoured by ECO-APC with the National Recognition and Achievement Award for her resilience, dedication, and commitment, and contribution to the progress of the APC and the nation at large.

    She receive this recognition during a ceremony that celebrated the contribution, and sacrifices of both the founding fathers, past and present leaders and some members of the APC party

    The Entertainment Consortium (ECO) is a powerful and influential group of the APC party that has contributed to the progress of the party through their hits song during and after election.

    Madam Konomanyi is a proud daughter of Kono, a district that is famous for its diamonds and rich cultural heritage, and besides a strategic district that is a key to the victory of any political party during presidential election.  The district has often been a bellwether, making winning decisions that resonate across the country.

    Her connection to Kono District has deeply rooted in her the values and aspirations of her community, guiding her political journey.

    Madam Konomanyi affiliation with the APC began in her teenage years, a testament to her loyalty and passion for the party’s ideals. Over the years, she has emerged as a formidable leader, holding various significant positions within the party.

    Her tenure as the Regional Chairperson for the Eastern region showcased her ability to galvanize support and foster collaboration among party members.

    Moreover, her leadership style is characterized by inclusivity, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of the political dynamics within the region. Thus, her unwavering support for Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma’s leadership began in 2002, marking the start of a long and fruitful political relationship

    Following the APC party resounding victory in the 2007 elections, Madam Konomanyi was entrusted with several key national positions that not only highlighted her capabilities, but also broke barriers for women in Sierra Leonean politics.

    As the first female District Council Chairperson of Kono District, she adeptly managed the administrative affairs of her district, setting a precedent for future female leaders.

    Her role as the first female Minister of Local Government and Rural Development further solidified her reputation as a trailblazer, where she tackled complex issues affecting local and rural development.

    Additionally, her tenure as the first female Minister of Lands placed her at the forefront of managing one of the most challenging ministries in the government, dealing with land reforms and policies critical to national development.

    In recognition of her contributions, Madam Konomanyi was among a select group of female heroes from the APC chosen to share their insights and history of the party with the younger generation.

    During her interview with the ECO- APC, she demonstrated her extensive knowledge and experience regarding the party’s evolution, challenges, and triumphs.

    Her reflections serve as a vital resource for young party members, ensuring that the history and values of the APC are passed down and preserved.

    Madam Konomanyi emphasized the importance of unity and peace within the APC as essential tools for achieving success in the upcoming 2028 elections. Her call to action resonates deeply within the party, reminding members that readiness should be their anthem and unity their hallmark.

    She believes that these principles are not merely slogans but foundational elements that will lead the APC to victory in the future. In her words, “For in the struggle of the APC, there is victory,” encapsulating the spirit of perseverance and hope that drives the party forward.
