Technology Guru Bhai Dhawa Sesay was honored with the Lifetime Award for the most creative Sierra Leonean of our generation by the Sierra Leone Association of Artists and Musicians (SLAAM) over the weekend on Friday at the Hampton Hotel in Maryland, USA.
SLAAM is a professional trade organization dedicated to empowering Sierra Leonean musicians and artists to excel in the competitive U.S. music industry.
The name Bhai Daway Sesay is well-known in both the Sierra Leone entertainment industry and the political sphere of Sierra Leone.
He is celebrated for his creativity and innovation, particularly for elevating the Sierra Leone entertainment industry between 2007 and 2012 with the famous U SABI DANCE competition.
In collaboration with SLBC, he staged a dancing competition called U SABI DANCE, which aimed to revitalize the entertainment sector in the country.
This is not the first time he has been recognized for his talent and contributions to society.
In 2018, he was honored for his efforts and awarded the Friend of the Year award by Chozen Generation(CGSL), a well-established youth group in Sierra Leone.
