Following the tragic incident that occurred at the National Pentecostal school at Fort Street on Tuesday, 18/03/25, numerous accounts have surfaced, many of which contain exaggerations and inaccuracies.
This incident is unfortunate, as it resulted in the loss of two children’s lives. Our heartfelt condolences go out to their parents.
The Sledgehammer news outlet went to the area to gather information and investigate the story further. According to the Sledgehammer investigation, the children involved were aged between 3 and 4
They were reported missing Tuesday between 12 PM and 1 PM when their parents arrived to pick them up.
Subsequently, both the parents and the headmistress reported the matter to the police at the Criminal Investigations Division (CID)Headquarters, and news of the missing children spread quickly.
Hours later, the parents and the headmistress were detained for questioning. The Resident Bishop, who had been away on assignment for the entire day, was informed about the incident.
Around 9 to 10 PM, upon returning home, the Resident Bishop went downstairs to turn on the generator. Fortunately, the lights came on, and while he was downstairs checking to ensure his vehicle was safe and locked, he heard a faint, human noise coming from a nearby abandoned vehicle.
Curious, he approached and discovered a young girl who was alive and two other boys who were lying helplessly.
He immediately shouted for help and instructed those nearby not to touch the children until the police, whom he had called, arrived.
By the time the police from the Family Support Unit (FSU) arrived, a crowd of youths had gathered and began vandalizing property on the compound, demanding answers about what had happened.
As the situation threatened to escalate, further reinforcements were called in to restore order.
According to eyewitnesses, it remains unclear whether the surviving girl was sexually assaulted or if any of the deceased children had been mutilated, as alleged by various reports circulating on social media and in some print media.
At this time, only the police report can provide an accurate account of whether any mutilation or sexual assault occurred.
Until then always watch out for
